Back to MAC (again)!

I feel like I must be going through my MAC products so quickly – every few months I seem to be making a trip to my local MAC counter to trade in my empties for another lippie! Not that there are any complaints from me at all! This time around I decided to pick more of a statement colour as I have been playing around with a bold lip more and more these days. I had seen Girl About Town pop up time and time again in other bloggers favourites and I’ve found on my lips a bold pink  ...

Nail of the Day – Revlon Spanish Moss

When a friend at work picked this up and brought it in I had to try it out of course! What a lovely khaki and a great option for a darker winter shade. Two coats gave my nails a really good opaque coverage but I was a bit disappointed by the lack of staying power it seemed to have (at least without a top coat to protect it). Within about 12 hours my nails already looked chipped and it took about two days for it to look terrible and need replacing.  Have you tried any shades from this  ...

Lust Have It May

Even though these beauty box posts are a bit late I know I’m always interested to compare what I received with other bloggers so it was still worth sharing. Here’s what I found when I opened my Lust Have It in May… Seacret Buffing BlockI love keeping multi-purpose nail buffing blocks like this in my handbag and desk drawer as they’re great for tidying up broken or rough nails but can also be used to add a bit of shine when I’m between polish applications (I  ...

Clinique GWP at David Jones

Nothing makes me excited quite like seeing a new Clinique GWP and I always make sure I stock up whenever it’s gift time. This was being offered at David Jones a little while back and I stocked up on my favourite makeup remover so I could qualify for the GWP.  I have been trying out a few more drugstore makeup removers but I’m yet to find anything that removes every last trace of eye make up the way Clinique Take The Day Off Makeup Remover does. Included in this freebie was:  ...

Nail of the Day – China Glaze Shocking Pink

When my sister and I did the Glow Run a little while back we decided neon pink nails were the order of the day!  A quick rummage through my collection turned up this traffic-stopping shade from China Glaze. Very hay with the formulation of this one – two coats left my nails looking nice and opaque and lasted almost a week with no chips! Have you got any favourite China Glaze shades?  Hope you are having a beautiful day!

Chemist Warehouse Haul

There is something very dangerous near my work. More specifically it sits right on the other side of the traffic lights out my office window and beckons with it’s bright yellow walls and promise of warmth offered through it’s automatic doors. Yep, you guessed it – there is a large Chemist Warehouse and it’s a love/hate relationship I have with this store. It’s almost TOO conveniently located for my bank accounts liking and frequently tempts me during lunch  ...

My Priceline online order arrived!

In the spirit of playing catch-up, I have quite a few blog posts to upload from the last little while. Apologies again for the delay of these and I know some may no longer be as relevant but I thought I would still share what I have been up to beauty-wise in the last few months for those who are interested. After blogging about the Priceline Skincare Goodie Bag, I was anxiously stalking the postie for my very first online Priceline order to arrive and was thrilled that I didn’t have  ...

Nail of the Day – Minx in Techno Camo by Lisa Logan

A little while back my friend asked me to be her model for her end of semester fashion show. She was studying makeup and as part of their assessment they had to create a theatrical stage look and have their work assessed to pass the course. I was happy to spend the day surrounded by makeup (no brainer really!) so quickly agreed to help her out. Her theme was a peacock so to add to the effect she did these beautiful looking nails on me – what fun! I liked how they had a bit of a  ...
